Obamas Set December 17th to Start Hawai’i Vacation

04 Dec 2011 - 9:44 am

President Barack Obama will return to Hawaii for a 17-day vacation scheduled for Dec. 17 through Jan. 2, according to a White House Travel Office memo posted on the Drudge Report website on Friday.

As with past holiday visits, the president will not be making any public appearances, according to the memo.

Obama alluded to the trip while in Hawaii for last month’s Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation summit.

Obama has spent previous holiday vacations at a private residence in Kailua.
