EVENT: The National Weather Service has ISSUED a SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT for MAUI COUNTY.
Light winds, combined high dewpoints, will once again bring hot and humid conditions to the Islands today…with heat index values approaching 100 degrees again this afternoon. Dewpoints in the mid 70s today will slowly drop tonight and tomorrow to the low 70s, lowering heat index values into the mid 90s for Monday. At the same time, trade winds are expected to increase.
