EFFECTS: Hot temperatures and light winds are in store for the islands over the weekend.
The remnant of tropical storm Ela will move west across the islands over the weekend. The system will bring light winds and dew points in the 70s to go along with typically hot July Temperatures. This will produce afternoon heat indices near 100 degrees. Stronger winds and lower humidity will spread over the area early next week.
