HANA -At 12:26 p.m. Monday afternoon, Hana firefighters responded to a female that reportedly fell from a trail near Hana bay.
Fire crews arrived shortly after 12:30 p.m. and found a 34 year-old woman that had fallen about 15 feet onto rocks at the water’s edge. The woman was conscious, but had sustained injuries to her head. She was hiking with two other friends on a trail leading to the Hana lighthouse when she slipped and fell. She was treated by paramedics at the scene and taken to the Hana Ball Park, where an airlift landing site was established.
She was transferred to a medevac helicopter and flown to Maui Memorial Medical Center in stable condition.
The group was from out-of-state and is living on Maui temporarily for work.
