UPDATE: MECO reports power restoration on Moloka’i.

Maui Electric Company would like to inform the public that th eareas of Kualapuu & Kalaupapa are experiencing a power outage. Maui Electric is working to identify the cause and restore electrical service as quickly and safely as possible.

With Maui County and the rest of the state experiencing strong gusty winds, Maui Electric reminds the public to stay clear of downed electrical lines, poles and equipment. If you should see a downed line or pole, call Maui Electric immediately at 871-7777 on Maui and 1-877-871-84611-877-871-8461 FREE on Lana‘i and Moloka‘i or dial 911 in an emergency.
