Today, January 12, 2015 marks the one year anniversary on the disappearance of Ms. Moreira “Mo” Monsalve. Today, in response to a barrage of media and public inquiries, Maui Police issued the following statement:
“January 12, 2015 marks the one year anniversary on the disappearance of Ms. Moreira “Mo” Monsalve, a 47 year old female resident from Wailuku. The Maui Police Department has offered the following information regarding this in-depth, ongoing investigation.
“Thus far, no arrests have been made in connection with this case. However, Police Detectives consider Mr. Bernard Brown a Person of Interest in this investigation. His whereabouts and location are known to police.
“The Maui Police Department with the assistance of Hawaii State Civil Defense Search and Rescue K-9 Unit, Honolulu Police Department, State of Hawaii Department of Land and Natural Resources Maui Branch, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation Maui and Honolulu Offices, have analyzed data and continue to search and follow up on information and leads throughout the County of Maui.
“The public is asked to contact Detective Oran Satterfield from the Criminal Investigation Division, The Crimes Against Persons Unit, at 244-6431 with any information. They can remain anonymous and any information given will remain strictly confidential.”
