Maui Police are looking for a man from Washington State whose disappearance is as puzzling as his unexpected arrival on Maui.
According to an MPD report, 29 year-old Maclean Tiffany contacted his cousin, Tyler Dalley, a Haiku resident, when he arrived on Maui with nothing but a paper bag containing a wig. Tiffany called his cousin from the Kahului KMart store Saturday, October 25. Dalley told Police his cousin said he was running away from someone, but did not offer any additional details. Dalley said he picked up Tiffany, showed him some sights then returned to Haiku. At about 3 p.m., Tiffany reportedly walked away from his cousin’s residence.
Dalley says his attempts to find Tiffany were unsuccessful and no other family member seemed to have any information.
Tiffany is described as 6′, 4″ and about 190 pounds. He is caucasian with brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a baseball cap, a gray “Everlast” shirt and blue surf shorts. Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Michael Callinan at 244-6425 Monday through Friday from 7:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. or MPD Central Dispatch at 244-6400.
