The National Weather Service has extended the HIGH SURF ADVISORY for NORTH FACING SHORES of MOLOKAI and MAUI, now in effect until 12:00 p.m. today.
The High Surf Advisory for south and west facing shores of Molokai is cancelled.
EFFECTS: An elevated north northwest swell will affect the north facing shores of Molokai and Maui.
Expect surf of 10 to 15 feet along north facing shores of Molokai and Maui through noon today.
Forecast surf heights are estimates of the height of the face or front of waves.
PRECAUTIONARY MEASURES: EXPECT STRONG BREAKING WAVES, SHORE BREAK, AND STRONG LONGSHORE AND RIP CURRENTS, MAKING SWIMMING DIFFICULT AND DANGEROUS.
BEACHGOERS, SWIMMERS, AND SURFERS SHOULD HEED ALL ADVICE GIVEN BY OCEAN SAFETY OFFICIALS AND EXERCISE CAUTION.
