Maui Police have identified two people accused of abusing a household family member on the island of Lana’i. Both cases happened last month.
On Thursday, September 11, at about 02:04 p.m., Blair Boucher, a 45 year-old female from Lana’i, got into a heated argument while intoxicated, with the victim – her 92 year-old grandmother.
The argument turned physical when Boucher pushed her grandmother within the residence, causing injuries. The victim was transported to the Lana’i Hospital where she was treated and released.
Boucher was arrested and charged for the offense of Abuse of Household family member, physical with injury. Bail was set at a $1,000.00. Boucher was also arrested for the offense of Assault in the Second Degree, but was released pending further investigation.
Then, two weeks later, on Tuesday, September 23, a 50 year-old female victim from Lana’i reported that, four days before – on Friday, September 19 – she was in an argument with her live-in boyfriend, identified as Shane Nacnac, a 42 year-old man from Hilo. The argument turned physical when Nacnac grabbed the victim by the neck and choked her. She survived the attack.
As a result, Nacnac was later arrested and charged for the offense of Felony Abuse of Household Family member, bail was set at $5,000.00.
