This morning around 10 a.m., the County of Maui Police Commission selected Captain Tivoli Faaumu as the new Chief of Police for the County of Maui. His background is laden with impressive law enforcement and military skills – likely to serve him well as Maui’s new Police Chief.
He has been the Patrol Commander for District VI, Kihei; since January 16th, 2011 and is a 29 year veteran of the Maui Police Department. He served in the US Army for 31 years, attended FBINA and earned his Masters Degree in Homeland Security, a B.S. in Business Management and an A.S. in Administration of Justice.
Chief of Police Tivoli FAAUMU’s appointment will be effective September 8, 2014. Chief Tivoli Faaumu, according to an MPD press release, would like to thank his family, daughter Muelang K. Molina, sons William and Andrew Faaumu, two grandchildren Brianna and Brenan and partner Deborah Ross, for their unwavering support throughout his police and military careers.
