The National Weather Service has continued a HIGH SURF ADVISORY for SOUTH FACING SHORES of MAUI COUNTY, in effect until 6:00 a.m. Sunday.
EFFECTS: A moderate sized south swell will continue to bring above normal surf to south facing shores of all islands through tonight. Expect surf of 6 to 9 feet through tonight.
Forecast surf heights are estimates of the height of the face or front of waves.
PRECAUTIONARY MEASURES: EXPECT STRONG BREAKING WAVES, SHORE BREAK, AND STRONG LONGSHORE AND RIP CURRENTS, MAKING SWIMMING DIFFICULT AND DANGEROUS. ALWAYS HEED LIFEGUARD ADVICE AND KNOW YOUR LIMITS. WHEN IN DOUBT DON’T GO OUT.
