Even though there remain dark clouds to the east and northwest of Maui County, meteorologists say the threat of flooding rains is diminishing. A flood watch remains in effect until 6 p.m. today for Maui.
Residents are being advised that H.A. Baldwin Park remains closed due to a fallen Ironwood tree near the restroom area. A Kiawe tree is also blocking the bicycle path in the park, according to a press release from County Communications Director Rod Antone.
Fallen trees have also closed down Kanaha Park’s third entrance, although the park itself is open.
“The public is advised to stay away from these areas until workers can fully clear the debris, Antone added, “Mahalo for your patience.”
