Maui Police have released few new details in the case of missing Carly J. “Charli” Scott, since the pregnant woman was reported missing February 10th. Yesterday, Scott’s ex-boyfriend, Steven Capobianco was charged with crimes in the case.
At 1:45 p.m. Monday, Capobianco – who was already being held on another charge – was transferred from Maui Community Correctional Center to the Wailuku Police station for processing. He was charged with Murder in the Second Degree and Arson in the Third Degree. The latter charge stems from the alleged torching of Scott’s SUV in an attempt to cover up a crime.
Bail in this case has been set at $2,000,000. Capobianco was transferred back to MCCC after the new charges were filed. Last Friday a grand jury handed down their indictment of Capobianco.
