Two men and a woman from Kahului have been charged with Robbery in the First Degree following an incident early Monday morning. Maui Police say that, around 1 a.m. that day, they responded to an address on Amala Place and Hobron Avenue in Kahului. The victim reported that, late Sunday, he had been confronted by three individuals in a vehicle.
One of the male passengers, later identified as Wilsand Sardinha, exited the vehicle and confronted the victim. Having had past issues with Sardinha, the victim left on foot. Sardinha followed the victim, pointed a hand gun to the victim’s head and demanded the victim’s belongings. The victim complied.
The vehicle with the two individuals, later identified as Anthony Ayonayon and Aaralyn Decambra, stopped within the roadway and Sardinha got in, with the victim’s belongings and then fled on Amala Place.
A traffic stop of the vehicle was conducted in the area of Haleakala Highway and Hana Highway; the occupants were. Sardinha, Ayonayon and Decambra. The three were subsequently arrested and charged for First Degree Robbery. Each individual had bail set at $20,000.
