An infant girl remains in protective custody after her parents were arrested Thursday in Kahului. The baby was injured during a tussle between her parents. They remain in custody on multiple charges related to the incident. Last Thursday, March 20, medical personnel notified police of a suspicious injury to an infant girl.
Officers responded to the clinic and found that Kayzia-Ashley Washington, a 21 year-old woman from Kahului, the mother of the infant, brought her child to the clinic to be treated for an injury.
