KAHULUI – Fire Chief Jeffrey A. Murray announces several promotions within the Maui Fire Department.
Chief Murray announced the promotions of six fire fighters to the rank of Fire Fighter III; Fire Apparatus Operator.
The following have been promoted:
FFIII Mike Mullalley – A 9 year veteran from the Wailea Fire Station. He worked for 2 years on Lanai before transferring to Wailea. He was assigned to the Engine Company for four years then transferred to the Ladder, where he has been for the last three years. His new assignment is at the Pukoo Fire Station, Third Watch.
FFIII Michael McDonald – A 9 year veteran with five years spent at the Lahaina Fire Station on Ladder three and the last four years working at the Paia Fire Station. He is being assigned to the Health and Safety Bureau.
FFIII Kenyon Smith – A seven-year veteran, FFIII Smith has been stationed at the Lanai and Hana Fire Stations and is currently working out of the Paia Fire Station for the last three years. He is being assigned to the Training Bureau.
FFIII Nathan Oshiro – A 12-year veteran from the Island of Molokai, currently working out of the Kaunakakai Fire Station. His new assignment is at the Ho’olehua Fire Station, First Watch.
FFIII Jesse Aloy – A 9.5 year veteran as a FFI and FFII HazMat Tech, currently stationed at the Kahului Fire Station. FFIII Aloy spent five years with the Big Island Fire Department before joining the Maui Fire Department. His new assignment is at the Wailea Fire Station, First Watch.
FFIII Thomas Gann – A 12-year veteran as a FFI and FFII Rescue Tech. He began his career spending seven years at the Wailuku (E-1) station, before being promoted to the HazMat Company. FFIII Gann was on HazMat for 2 years then transferred to the Rescue Company where he has been for the last three years.
Each of these individuals are extremely deserving of these promotions, said Chief Murray
