Electrical service has been restored to a majority of customers in the Baldwin Ave., Paia area as of 8:02 a.m. MauiWatch spotters took a photo of a car that hit a power pole on Baldwin Avenue last night. No serious injuries were reported. The irony was that the car’s headlights illuminated the scene – while all homes in the area lost power for nine hours.
MECO apologizes for any inconvenience this situation may have caused and thanks customers for their patience and understanding. Power was knocked out after a car struck and toppled a utility pole on Baldwin Avenue near Pa’ia School around 11 p.m., Friday. There were no serious injuries.
