Honolulu, HI – The Hawaii District Office is recruiting judges for the selection team for the 2014 SBA Small Business Awards. For more than 25 years, the annual awards program has honored top small business owners, entrepreneurs, exporters and advocates from across the State of Hawaii for their outstanding achievements including revenue growth, job creation and community involvement.
“The continued success and prestige of the SBA Small Business Awards is the result of the experience and ability of the judges who have volunteered over the years, enthusiastically conducting the reviews of so many candidates,” said District Director Jane Sawyer. “The caliber of our selection panel assures the integrity of our process and that awards are made to our top performing businesses. It’s a demanding, but very rewarding task. “
Activities related to the selection process will take place at the district office in Honolulu in January. The committee will be comprised of 12 to 15 persons. If selected for the 2014 committee, individuals must complete agency clearances and non-disclosure agreements prior to participation. The Hawaii District Office encourages participation from all business and industry sectors, financial services, community and other entities. To be eligible, individuals must demonstrate awareness and knowledge of small business, local economic conditions, and SBA programs and services.
