EVENTS: The National Weather Service in Honolulu has CANCELLED a FLOOD ADVISORY for MAUI ISLAND. The watch was issued late Saturday night as heavy windward showers marched ashore in East and North Maui.
EFFECTS: Weather radar and rain gages showed that the heavy rains have abated, thus the flood advisory is allowed to expire.
PRECAUTIONARY MEASURES: THE PUBLIC SHOULD REMAIN CAUTIOUS AND ALERT FOR ANY POSSIBLE FLOODING CONDITIONS. DON’T TRY TO CROSS FLOODED ROADWAYS OR FAST FLOWING STREAMS IN YOUR VEHICLE OR ON FOOT. IT MAY BE TOO DANGEROUS. TURN AROUND…DON’T DROWN.
