Police Raid Wailuku Home – Nine Arrested for Gambling

Maui Police arrested nine men last Thursday, August 16th, for gambling offenses. At 10:40 p.m. on August 16th, the Vice/Gambling and Morals Unit of the Maui Police Department executed search warrants on Kaikai Street in Wailuku.

Upon execution of the warrants, an in-progress card game was being conducted in the home’s living room. The home’s principal resident, and eight other men were arrested for gambling offenses.

Arrested:

1. Khanhnha Vanhtha was arrested and charged for Promoting Gambling II and possession of a gambling device. Bail was set at $400. 

2. Lyle Richards of Kula.

3. Justin Chock of Wailuku.

4. Scott Rosario of Waikapu.

5. Cary Rosario of Waikapu.

6. David Yokoyama of Kahului.

7. Gavin Petrie of Haiku.

8. Thomas Borges of Kihei

9. Clyde Imai from Kihei.

Each of these men was charged for gambling. Bail in each of these arrests was set at $200.00

The case has been referred to the Maui County Prosecutors Office.
