A woman was rescued off a cliff near Keanae this afternoon, after being separated from her kayak while snorkeling with her boyfriend.

Maui Fire and Rescue units got the call at 3:30 p.m. from the 56 yerar-old woman’s boyfriend. They became separated while snorkeling in shallow waters near Honomanu Bay.

Rescue 10 and Air One responded. About 90 minutes into the search, the woman was spotted about a mile west of where she was last seen. The victim was air lifted from her location on the cliffs and returned by Air One back to the beach at Honomanu.  She was unharmed and required no medical attention.
