The purpose of this Informational Briefing is to discuss human and sex trafficking and its impact in Hawaii, as well as measures against this travesty and violation of human rights that have passed in the House and Senate and are set for further deliberation in Conference Committee. URGING THE ADOPTION OF LAWS TO REQUIRE WRITTEN PERMISSION FROM THE LANDOWNER IN ORDER TO HUNT ON PRIVATE LANDS AND TO AMEND CRIMINAL TRESPASSING LAWS TO ADDRESS HUNTING SITUATIONS.
REQUESTING THE ATTORNEY GENERAL OF THE STATE OF HAWAII TO CONTINUE TO COLLABORATE WITH STATE AND FEDERAL AGENCIES, INVESTIGATE INSTANCES OF WRONGFUL AND UNLAWFUL CONDUCT BY LENDERS AND SERVICERS, AND TAKE APPROPRIATE ACTION.
REQUESTING THE ATTORNEY GENERAL TO ESTABLISH A TASK FORCE TO STUDY THE FEASIBILITY OF THE COUNTIES ADOPTING RULES THAT REGULATE CLEAN AND SOBER HOUSING AND COMPLY WITH FEDERAL AND STATE LAWS.
PROPOSED SD1: URGING THE ESTABLISHMENT OF KOREATOWN AND DEVELOPMENT OF A MASTERPLAN FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF A KOREATOWN.
REQUESTING THE PUBLIC LAND DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION TO SUBMIT A SEMI-ANNUAL REPORT TO THE LEGISLATURE AND THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CORPORATION TO SUBMIT AN ANNUAL EVALUATION OF THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF THE CORPORATION TO THE LEGISLATURE.
