Effective today, Maui County’s JoAnn Inamasu has been named the representative of Governor Neil Abercrombie for Maui. Outgoing rep, Deidre Tegarden, who served in the position for two years, has been promoted to the Governor’s Chief of Protocol. She previously served as Economic Development Coordinator for Maui County - and released the following statement.
“I am thrilled to announce that Ms. JoAnn Inamasu has been appointed as the Governor’s Representative for Maui.
JoAnn is a dedicated, caring and hard working individual who brings a balanced perspective to all that she doesMany of you know JoAnn from her years with the County of Maui, while others know her via her extensive work with Maui’s baseball community (Stingrays, Na Koa Ikaika, Hawaii Winter Baseball, Kurt Suzuki Baseball Clinic, etc), or perhaps you know her through her work with our local non profits. No matter how you know JoAnn, we know you will enjoy working with her in her new capacity.
JoAnn officially takes her position on Monday, April 16th, but you can hear her on “The Governor, Maui and You” Radio Show tomorrow (Wednesday) morning from 7am on KAOI 1110AM along with our guest, Senator Roz Baker.
