The median price of single-family homes in Maui County dipped in March, while condominium prices rose by 28 percent, according to data from the Realtors Association of Maui.

The median price of a Maui County condo last month was $370,000, a 28 percent increase from $289,000 in March 2011. That was based on sales of 128 units in March, including one on Lanai, a 2 percent increase from 125 sales during the same month last year.

The median price of a single-family home in Maui County in March was $432,500, which was 4 percent lower than $450,000 during March 2011. That was based on sales of 80 houses, including two on Lanai and one on Molokai, 10 percent fewer than the 89 houses sold in March 2011.
