Maui Fire Derpartment sent six units to a structure fire Wednesday afternoon in Kahana.

The reported structure fire was at 4435 Lower Honoapiilani Road, Kahana; The Pohailani Maui Resort. E-11, E-3, L-3, E-10, R-10, and L-14 responded. E-11, first unit on scene at 1:52 p.m. sees smoke showing from the corner of the patio of a unit on the third floor. Fire personnel made their way to the unit to find the resident manager and MPD attempting to extinguish the fire with  fire extinguishers. Fire was under control at 2:09 p.m.and extinguished at 3:01 p.m. 

The lone occupant was aroused from her nap by neighbors pounding on her door. No injuries reported and Fire Prevention Inspector on scene conducting an investigation.

Fire cause undetermined and damage estimates are at $1,000.00.
