The National Weather Service in Honolulu has CANCELLED the FLASH FLOOD WARNING for the island of MAUI.
EFFECTS: Heavy rains have ended and stream levels have receded. Hana Highway 360, has been reopened. Debris is still on portions of the road but is no longer flooded.
A Flash Flood Watch for Maui County remains in effect through late tonight. View the latest visible satellite loop here.
PRECAUTIONARY MEASURES: THE PUBLIC SHOULD REMAIN CAUTIOUS AND ALERT FOR ANY POSSIBLE FLOODING CONDITIONS. DON’T TRY TO CROSS FLOODED ROADWAYS OR FAST FLOWING STREAMS IN YOUR VEHICLE OR ON FOOT. IT MAY BE TOO DANGEROUS. TURN AROUND. DON’T DROWN.
