Two brushfires broke out yesterday, both in Hoolehua, Molokai.
The first brushfire started at 11:22 a.m., on Kalae Highway, near Maunaloa Avenue. The 1600 square foot fire was brought under control at 11:28 a.m. and extinguished at 11:45 a.m. Crews from E-9, E-4, along with Tanker 4 responded.
The second fire started at 3:10 p.mm, on Keonelele Avenue and Launui Street, West of Hoolehua Airport. Crews from E-9, E-4, E-12, along with Tanker 4 responded and had the 9,000 square foot fire under control at 3:33 p.m.and extinguished at 4:25 p.m.
Cause undetermined, and no damages or injuries reported for both fires.
